A little bit about your local bike fitter
James is a passionate rider, lifelong racer, and certified bike fitter in Oceanside, CA. He’s been racing bikes since the age of 11, learning firsthand how much a proper fit can impact speed, efficiency, and long-term comfort. Over the years, he has competed in countless cycling events, and most recently tackled the legendary Belgian Waffle Ride on a single-speed 1980 Eddy Merckx with skinny tires and 87 gear inches—a true testament to his grit and love for the sport. That same passion drives how he approaches every professional bike fitting session today.
Off the bike, James is a dedicated husband and father of two young boys. Family is central to his life, and his boutique bike fit studio reflects that same welcoming energy, private, comfortable, and located in a detached workshop on his property. This unique setup allows James to be close to his family while staying within arm’s reach of his greatest passion: helping cyclists ride stronger, faster, and pain-free. He created Oceanside Bike Fit to give riders in San Diego access to expert-level custom bike fits without the intimidation of a large retail shop.
